Worthy

I have all these questions, here deep inside,

Like why would this stranger give up his life?

My friends say, I’m worthy, of his sacrifice.

He’s right here beside you.

Walk into his light.

***

Refrain:

From dark to his light,

I’m alive.  I can’t hide.

He’s filling my darkness with light.

***

This treasure inside me, is filled with his truth.

The chains that confined me, lie broken and loose.

There’s love, and there’s peace, and sweet harmony.

He’s right here beside me.

Walk into his light.

***

From dark to his light,

I’m alive.  I can’t hide.

He’s filling my darkness with light.

***

Sincere in purpose, I’m claiming his name.

The price of salvation, was paid with his pain.

He claims, I’m worthy, of his sacrifice.

He’s right here beside me.

Walk into his light.

***

Refrain:

From dark to his light,

I’m alive.  I can’t hide.

He’s filling my darkness, with light.

***

He’s filling my darkness, with light.

I accompanied my daughter to an AA Meeting on a Friday night at the Tibb St., Salvation Army. The recovered speaker, said, “I got tired of the high cost of low living!”
