Say what you mean but, mean what you say! Do you think people were born yesterday? We may get by with a white lie today, but crimson tides wash the white away!
The boy who cried, “Wolf” finally cried, “Honest”, but no one would listen. Boy and wolf prints lined the footpath from the honest, truth gone bad!
Momma said, “Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we start to deceive!” Being kids and all, we’d think about what we told mom! Our lies were both big and tall!
It’s been said by those lied to: “Fool me once, shame on you!” “Fool me twice, shame on me!” George Washington didn’t think twice when he admitted cutting down the cherry tree!
When actor, Jack Nicholson hid the truth and lied, he claimed, “You can’t handle the truth!” Under oath, the Marine officer’s testimony revealed truths that led to his guilty proof!
Hand on a bible we say: “I promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God!” A jury of twelve, selected by the people, decide the truth. It’s a juror’s job!
There’s no shame in revealing a lie, especially when it brings the truth to light! Why do we lie? Guilt turns us from light, diverts our eyes and proves us anything but wise!
