It’s Not So Easy

Decisions, contemplations,

What to do with my life?

It’s not so easy this time.

We can’t just fall back in line

When there’s no reason or rhyme,

To live this lie.

Refrain:

The day we wed we once became

The couple there in the photo frame,

A picture-perfect pair.

Now the memory’s there behind the glass

Shattered glances from the past,

Where memories last.

***

Reflections of your memory

When your smile met my eyes.

Our hearts were so intertwined.

Just let me open my mind

To that place once again

In time.

Refrain:

The day we wed we once became

The couple there in the photo frame.

A picture-perfect pair.

Now the memory’s there behind the glass

Shattered glances from the past,

Where memories last.

***

Affection, love and kindness

Strayed away with our hearts.

We vowed ‘til death do us part,

But we were wrong from the start?

We were young. We couldn’t see

It wasn’t love.

Refrain:

The day we wed we once became

The couple there in the photo frame

A picture-perfect pair.

Now the memory’s there behind the glass

Shattered glances from the past

Where memories last.
